Each of the following statements is a future blog post all its own, but sometimes a Mama must take a minute to relish her kids’ creativity, imperfect speech, and their way with words. Here’s what I’ve been hearing at my house:
“We a team, wight Mom?”
“Good job, Mom. Good job!”
“Mommy, I wish you were an octopus.”
“Maa. MAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
“I help you ’cause you my big boy, wight Mom?”
“That MY job, Mom.”
(gasp!) “We fogot to pray!”
“Hey, Mom! I pooped a big one. Come see it or you’ll miss it!”
Oh, the things they say! Definitely a Finer Thing. I am grateful for every one!

The Finer Things in Life 
Love them…my youngest son pronounced all his “v”‘s like “z”s and his “f”s like “s”. For example he would say “I luz you mom” Or if he was angry he would stomp away and say “Sine” So he learned a song in preschool while they were learning about dinosaurs. It went like this, sung to the tune of Frere Jacques:
Tyranadon, Tyranadon you eat sish, you eat sish
Slying through the air, dyzing in the water, catch that sish your sazorite dish
Oh how I love that song…we still sing it around our house…I only wish that I had videotaped him singing it for the future…

Once we were in town, had a toddler in the stroller and a bigger person walked by and the toddler started jabbering over and over, “big fat belly, big fat belly, big fat belly”…I can’t imagine why your little one would want you to be an octopus?!?! 😉
LOL! Don’t you just love the things they say?! 😀 The last one had me really giggling. LOL! 😀

That brings back memories! lol We used to answer the “hello” and pass “oombas” (school buses) on the road.
I love them! Those are great quotes! I keep a running list with all the funny things and mispronunciations. I’m always so sad when they start to say everything the correct way.
I have an aunt that used to set up a tape recorder on her kitchen table (actually she would put it out of sight on a chair or something) and record my cousins conversations when they were eating or playing. She has some wonderful memories in those tapes now. I always think we should do that too, but I wouldn’t know where to look for a tape recorder these days.
